We are immensely proud to highlight the achievements of our Managing Director, Borey, whose dedication to immigration is not just a career, but a true calling. Borey’s personal journey as a cambodian refugee to New Zealand has deeply influenced his commitment to helping others navigate the complexities of immigration.
Borey’s outstanding contributions were recognised in 2017 when he was a finalist for Immigration Adviser/Lawyer of the Year by the New Zealand Association for Migration and Investment (NZAMI). This accolade is a testament to his unwavering dedication and exceptional service in the field.
From 2018 to 2023, Borey served as the director of the NZAMI Board. Since 1989, the NZAMI, a not-for-profit and leading professional association for immigration advisers and lawyers, works closely with Immigration New Zealand, the Immigration Advisers Authority and the National and District Law Societies to play a major role in building the New Zealand immigration industry’s professionalism.
Borey sat on several of the committees during this time, was Chair for the Relationships and Marketing Committee, was involved with continuous professional development and presented webinars for both lawyers and immigration advisers, ad hoc advice and submissions on policy and other issues, and was a true attributor to the Board over the years where he gained invaluable insights and played a pivotal role in shaping the industry. His leadership and expertise have been instrumental in driving positive changes within the organisation and beyond.
In addition to his professional achievements, Borey’s compassion and commitment were acknowledged by Minister Kris Faafoi for his vital assistance to the community following the tragic Christchurch attacks. Borey’s efforts in providing support and guidance during such a challenging time underscored his profound dedication to making a difference in people’s lives.

Migration Associates’ professional fees are transparent, realistic, and based on success. We will provide you a written quotation of our professional fees with your Comprehensive New Zealand Visa Evaluation, along with a quote of all other third party costs.
We pride ourselves on offering a premium visa service that is affordable.
Please note, we DO NOT:
- Give quotes verbally. You will receive a written quotation before any work is carried out.
- Charge the full amount up front – our fees are payable in instalments throughout the New Zealand visa approval process to allow you to budget for the costs involved and spread the costs.
- Charge on a time billing system – We charge a fixed fee so you do not need to worry about the costs of any calls and the length of time you spend on calls made to us or calls we make to you.
- Charge a visa approval fee – We will quote you a fixed fee for our assistance – there are no further charges if your New Zealand visa is approved.
- Charge a job placement fee – we will not charge you a placement fee if our strategic partner, New Zealand Skills In Demand, obtains an offer of employment for you. New Zealand Skills In Demand will not charge a placement fee either. Its candidate matching service is a free service.
